Testing information

Madison County ROE 41 is approved by Pearson VUE to offer General Education Development (GED®) Testing for individuals who have not earned a high school diploma. Upon successfully completing each content area of the GED®, and the United States and Illinois constitution requirements, candidates will be awarded the Illinois High School Equivalency Certificate, which may be needed for college admissions, employment/promotion, or induction into the armed service.

Registration

Candidates will need to begin the process by registering through the MyGED® portal at ged.com. The Madison County ROE 41 Pearson Vue Testing Center will be an option to schedule your test. More information about our test center can be found under the Pearson Vue Testing Information Tab.

Constitution Requirements:

The new online Illinois Constitution Module (Constitution Module) is available at Illinois Constitution. It is estimated it will take two hours for a student to complete. It is available for HSE candidates to take independently and does not require proctoring at a testing center. Testing Centers will no longer offer the previous Constitution Test. After completion of the Constitution Module, completers will be asked to provide information about themselves that will be used to match the completion with HSE records in the Illinois High School Equivalency Portal. Completers will also be able to print or download a certificate showing the completion.

Transcript Requests

If you lived in Madison County at the time of your GED test, you may request your Illinois High School Equivalency Transcript and/or Diploma from the Regional Office of Education #41.

ROE 41 offers two ways to request your transcript/diploma:

Call ROE 41 at 618-296-4530 to confirm we have your results and schedule an appointment to come in to pick them up.
1. The cost is $10 for the transcript and $10 for the diploma. The ROE accepts CASH ONLY.
2. You must bring a driver's license or state ID.
Mail in a transcript request form found here: ROE 41 Illinois High School Equivalency Transcript Request Form.

The Regional Office of Education #41 does not accept Debit or Credit Cards. We cannot process any request over the phone.
